The iconic film The Snowman will be shown at Hull City Hall this December accompanied by live orchestra.
The enchanting Christmas show is presented by Carrot Productions and follows their highly-acclaimed sell-out tour of 2016.
Hear some of the UK’s top musicians perform Howard Blake’s beautiful soundtrack – including the evocative Walking in the Air sung by a local child soloist – in perfect synchronicity with the film shown on a giant screen.
This extra special performance also includes a rousing overture, a fun introduction to the orchestra, and a visit from Carrot Productions’ very own Snowman!
Cherished by children and adults alike, the concert is fast becoming an annual custom, providing the perfect winter outing for all the family.
And brand new for 2017 is an exclusive animated film of the award-winning book, The Bear and the Piano, by David Litchfield.
Narrated by Joanna Lumley, along with a beautiful accompanying score, it’s a wonderful addition to the show, which is suitable for all ages from three plus.
The Snowman with Live Orchestra has featured in The Guardian, Sunday Times and The Telegraph’s ‘Top things to do at Christmas’ and with many venues predicted to sell-out long before December, fans are urged to buy their tickets soon to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for The Snowman with Live Orchestra on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 1.30 pm and 4 pm are from £16 for adults and £10 for children. Family tickets are from £48. They go on sale at 10 am on Friday, June 16.
