Steve Steinman’s new production features soundtracks from some of the best films of all time

A full cast of incredible singers and dancers and a formidable band will perform some of the most recognisable music of your favourite hit movies at Iconic: The Show at Hull City Hall.

It is the latest production from Steve Steinman, who has delighted fans with shows including The Meat Loaf Story, Vampires Rock, Vampires Rock Ghost Train and Bat Symphony since his success on TV’s Stars in Their Eyes more than two decades ago as Meat Loaf.

Iconic is set in a future where movie theatres have all but disappeared and a single magical cinema still stands with one lonely occupant – an usher called Benson.

He attempts to entice viewers to attend the final screening of the evening as amazing performers deliver a midnight medley of iconic soundtracks, reawakening musical memories of the most recognisable songs of all time.

It features hits from film greats such as Kill Bill, Batman, Pulp Fiction, Purple Rain, Bond and Mad Max with tracks from Queen, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones and Prince to name but a few.

Steve and his creative team are known for delivering exhilarating performances that are packed with energy, fabulous dance routines, spectacular special effects and, of course, amazing music that has everyone up on their feet.

Throwing just the right amount of fun and humour into his scripts, Steinman also aims to ensure that he also has his audiences roaring with laughter.

Steve joined cast members and fans outside Blackpool’s Grand Theatre with the original Batmobile from the 1989 Batman film to launch the new production, which arrives at Hull City Hall on Thursday, May 11.

Tickets for Iconic: The Show on Thursday, May 11 are from £23.50 and are on sale now.
